When do you believe someone gave it their all and failed despite trying everything in their life? Even with tremendous effort, people often fail because they don't have a clear direction. 
The reason why some individuals succeed and others fail is not because 10% of people worked hard and everyone else didn't; rather, it's because there is a difference between following a plan blindly and using a clear blueprint. Only 10% of people have succeeded, in my opinion, not because they are exceptionally gifted or have different brains, but rather because they were extremely clear about their goals, made a very analytical map, and executed their plan using a strategy that probably 99 percent of us failed to do.

Lessons I have learned 

The main reason that everyone else has succeeded while I have not is that I have not yet developed the clarity that comes with genuine originality and conviction. When someone has a strong desire, they will naturally look for ways to fulfill it. For instance, if xyz desires to attain so and so, it indicates that they have a very clear understanding of what they want.
However, if your mind is divided between multiple things and not even one, you won't follow through on the matter of its success, which will lead you to move on to something else and eventually trap yourself in an endless cycle of uncertainty and disclarity. This is extremely painful, so be sure of your desires and goals and only move forward with them with greater clarity; if not, immediately refute them.
