A selenophile’s Ode to Love

She envisages someone as the moon, 
A magnificent man, 
Ethreally young and charming, with a captivating smile, 
He was the moon, 
She was Selenophile. 

He has black orbs and is starry eyed, 
With a clear, milky skin, 
Dimpled resembling craters of the moon and a beautiful chin,
He has a perfectly sculpted heavenly face, 
Arrogance and meanness never find a trace, 

His beauty is unparalleled, 
Unlike the moon's phases,
He is ageless and never changes. 
He is a compassionate being, so humble and a philanthropist , 
He's a gem shining in the heavy mist. 

One day, under the moonlight she drifts off to dreamland, 
That enchanting man is breathtaking Moon Goddess Selene, 
And she is Endymion who is fast asleep, 
Her longings for her love are true, 
How Selene passionately falls in love with Endymion, 
That miracle in her life she manifests to construe. 

Abruptly, she opens her eyes, 
Sudden realization of distance strike her without lies, 
She is not an astronaut, 
But yearns to be one, 
To experience his warmth in his close promixity, 
She carves out her lunar module of love , 
Wishing on a star to teleport to him, 
She is ready to go to any extremity. 

Just for Endymion, Goddess Selene descended to Earth, 
She thinks he is born to be a benevolent being to mankind,
