In valleys where the snowflakes fall.
And silence echoes through each wall.
A thousand stories, never told.
Truth buried deep in winter’s cold.
The chinar trees in sorrow sway.
Their crimson leaves have blown away.
Each petal that the breeze lets fly.
Carries a name, a mother’s cry.
The cradle rocks with none to sing.
A shattered kite, a broken wing
Eyes once bright with dreams and stars
Now search for peace behind the bars.
The river runs, but not with grace
It bears the scars of time and place
A prayer floats on saffron air.
For justice whispered through despair.
Innocence wore a smile so wide
But bullets do not choose a side
Hearts that throb with hopes to heal
Are crushed beneath the soldier’s heel.
Yet even as the night grows long
Kashmir hums a silent song
Of peace not lost, just out of sight
Still waiting for the dawn of light.
Let not the blood define her face
But courage, love, and silent grace.
The land still dreams beyond its pain
Of children laughing in the rain.
Forever is myth.
